Mike Henry, the Managing Director of Insure Fix Limited, is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Certified Member of the Association of Project Safety. He is launching the company with over 50 years of extensive experience in the construction industry. Having worked across a broad spectrum of commercial and residential projects, Mike’s expertise has been pivotal in the creation of Insure Fix Limited. His deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience have laid the groundwork for Insure Fix to become a trusted partner for insurance-backed construction solutions as the company embarks on its journey.
Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated exceptional leadership and project management skills, particularly in the realm of fast-track commercial refurbishment projects. As a Project Manager, he has overseen a wide range of significant projects, ensuring they were completed efficiently, profitably, and safely. His time as a Senior Projects Manager for City North Group plc further honed his ability to manage complex operations, where he was pivotal in the success of numerous large-scale city developments.
Mike's dedication to safety and compliance has been a cornerstone of his career. He was a key instigator of practical research into CDM (Construction Design and Management) operational procedures, focusing on executing and delivering fast-track projects that were not only profitable but also maintained the highest standards of finish and safety. His expertise in this area led him to assist in the development of fully integrated CDM and Health & Safety compliance systems for a variety of clients, ensuring that every project met rigorous construction law/industry standards.
Over the years, Mike has gained significant experience managing projects with challenging environments, including ‘Client/Public in situ’ and other ‘special projects.’ His deep understanding of site hazards, particularly asbestos, has made him a valuable asset in navigating the complexities of construction in potentially hazardous conditions.
Mike’s construction industry experience is vast and varied, with 28 years as a Project Manager on projects ranging from specialist bespoke works to those valued at up to £24 million. Additionally, his 21 years as an inspector for Health & Safety and ‘sitesafe’ operations underscore his commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance on every job site.
